Dreams

Dreams
by Langston Hughes (1902-1967), poet, novelist, playwright, short story writer, essayist and columnist
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

Special thanks to Bleets at Scriblets for calling my attention to a great poet!
